This Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00am at the Cathedral of St. Peter, two seminarians from the Diocese of Rockford will take the final step toward becoming priests. Deacons Andrew Deitz and Jared Twenty will be ordained by Bishop Malloy to the service of the Priesthood. The ordination of two new priests is a cause of rejoicing and deep gratitude to God for the entire Diocese.
Both deacons have already been given their parish assignments:
Deacon Jared Twenty has been assigned to be Parochial Vicar pro tempore for Holy Cross Parish in Batavia, IL effective July 1, 2014 and Deacon Andrew Deitz has been assigned to be the Parochial Vicar for St. Patrick Parish in St. Charles, IL effective July 1, 2014.
