A Year of Consecrated Life
Date: February 7, 2015
A Year of Consecrated Life has been proclaimed by Pope Francis, and the Diocese of Rockford will soon begin to celebrate the men and women religious of our diocese.
Today Bishop David Malloy hosted members of religious communities at a special event that included a morning Mass at the Poor Clares Monastery Chapel followed by a luncheon at the Cathedral of St. Peter.
The Observer diocesan newspaper will begin to feature weekly snapshots of the religious communities currently represented in the diocese. The project is expected to stretch out through the year.
