The motto, "To restore all things in Christ," was that of Pope St. Pius X, a champion of liturgical reform and active participation by the laity in the Church's liturgy. The image of Christ as the slain Lamb of God over the Heavenly Jerusalem--in whose liturgy we on earth participate--was drawn under the direction of Eric Gill and appeared on the first issue of Orate Fratres magazine (now Worship) in 1924 .

Rite Of Election 2013

The Rite of Election will be celebrated on Saturday and Sunday, February 16 - 17, 2013 respectively at the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Rockford. There will be three ceremonies. See the links below for information and registration.

The mission of the Office of Worship:

To consult with the Bishop on all liturgical matters.
To plan and oversee Diocesan liturgical celebrations.
To assist liturgical ministers and parish liturgy commissions throughout the Diocese.
