Director - Religious Education/Catechesis
St. Patrick Parish in Wadsworth, Illinois located in the far north suburbs of Lake County, seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Director of Religious Education.

The DRE is a full-time position and is responsible for the development and implementation of a plan for catechesis for the parish and parish school youth through 8th grade, including catechists, students, parents and school staff. This role functions as a team member on the parish staff and works under the direction of the pastor.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic who displays strong leadership, accomplishment and strong organization skills. Additionally, exemplary interpersonal skills in order to work with a diverse group of parish and school constituents are important. A Master's degree or MDiv in Catholic religious education, Theology or related field is necessary, DRE certification and/or CE certification required plus a minimum of 3-5 years experience in parish or catholic school, catechetical setting as a teacher, catechist or administrator.
