St. Rita Church in Rockford opened the Year for Priests by having personalized holy cards made for each of its four resident priests. Each card featured a different image of the Good Shepherd with a prayer on the other side. In the narthex are framed pictures of each priest, a sculpture by Joseph Camaioni of the Good Shepherd, and the holy cards for parishioners to take. They plan more activities through the year.

St. Peter Church in Geneva has always prayed the rosary for vocations one evening a week and will continue this. The weekly bulletin includes a prayer to be said for priests in the parish, as well as for priests all over the world. A special chaplet and rosaries will be available to help promote prayer for our priests and the parish web site offers Year for Priests resources.
