Refugee families were treated to a Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 16, provided and hosted by youths from St. Bernadette Parish in Rockford. The St. Bernadette youths, including some who are students at Boylan Central Catholic High School, and assisted by a few adult elves, provided a variety of games and activities, sang Christmas songs, served pizza and helped corral everyone once Santa Claus arrived. It was the third year that St. Bernadette young people have provided a Christmas party for refugee families.
