Requirements for Clergy, Adult/Teen Employees and Volunteers whose role involves direct contact with minors are completed through our Virtus Online system. Instructions to create your online account can be found below by your role.
Do I have direct contact with minors? anyone who works or volunteers when/if a minor may be present is considered to have direct contact with minors.
New Employees and Volunteers, who are required to comply with the Diocese of Rockford’s Safe Environment Policies, will need to contact their Virtus Site Administrator to get instructions on how to complete these requirements.
All requirements are to be completed before the individual is permitted to work and/or volunteer in the Diocese of Rockford.

If you are an employee, who has direct contact with minors,
or a volunteer, who holds the title of:
C/DRE, C/DYM, Coach/Assistant Coach
you must complete the DCFS
Mandated Reporter Online Training per Illinois State Law.
This training will be assigned during the registration process
when you set up your Virtus Online Account.

Print and submit the certificate of completion to your supervisor.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
per Illinois State Law annually.
This training will be assigned during the registration process
