Deacon Information Days

Father Ken Wasilewski, director of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate, spoke on Sept. 13 with 10 men and a handful of wives at the first of three Deacon Information Days for men who are interested in exploring a vocation to the permanent diaconate.

Those who were inquiring came from Woodstock, Genoa, East Dubuque, Crystal Lake, Spring Grove, Belvidere, Rockford, St. Charles and Batavia.

The remaining dates of these informational sessions are: Oct. 25 and Nov. 22, both at 10 a.m. at the Diocesan Administration Center, 555 Coleman Center Drive, Rockford. No registration is necessary; just come and learn more about what it means to be a permanent deacon.
